How Are Fur Rugs Made?
The production of a fur rug is always carried out in several stages.
The client works together with a professional furrier and fur-selection specialist to review a selection of skins and choose the most suitable materials for the future product. The selected raw materials are then approved by the client.
After our designer develops the concept and calculates the proportions of the home accessory, production begins.
The skins are delivered to our factory, where they undergo a complete cleaning and professional dry-cleaning process, including treatment against moths and leather beetles.
The future fur rug or accessory is then transferred to the sewing workshop, where the skins are carefully selected according to:
- color arrangement;
- fur quality;
- pile density and height;
- texture;
- the specific requirements of the finished product.
The skins are then stretched and prepared, sewn together, backed with fabric and finished with decorative cords, leather or other decorative elements specially selected for your particular accessory or interior piece.
Production time ranges from 3 days to 4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the project and the decorative finishing required.
